Former Vikings receiver K.J. Osborn reportedly signing with Patriots

Osborn has been the Vikings' No. 3 receiver over the past three seasons.

Former Vikings receiver K.J. Osborn is signing a contract with the New England Patriots, according to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero.

Osborn, 26, has been the Vikings’ No. 3 receiver over the last few seasons, but his production tapered in 2023. Osborn had 48 receptions for 540 yards and three touchdowns last season after recording at least 650 yards and five touchdowns the previous two seasons.

In his three-year career, all with the Vikings, Osborn has 158 receptions for 1,845 yards and 15 touchdowns. He also has four carries for 16 yards over that span.

With Osborn landing in New England, the Vikings will have to find someone else to fill his role as the No. 3 receiver. Brandon Powell seems to be the most likely player to fill that void after earning more playing time and putting together the best season of his career in his first year with the Vikings in 2023.

Powell, who gradually got more playing time throughout the season, finished the year with 29 receptions for 324 yards and a touchdown.
