Championship games are set for 2023 Minnesota Prep Bowl

The high school playoffs will finish with a feast of matchups next weekend.

The Minnesota high school football playoffs are nearing the end, which means the matchups for this year's Prep Bowl are finally set for next weekend.

With the semifinals in the books, 12 teams will compete for a state championship at U.S. Bank Stadium next weekend. Here is the list of games that will determine the state titles.

Nine-man

Kingsland (13-0) vs. Nevis (12-0)

Kingsland punched its ticket to the championship by defeating Fertile-Beltrami 36-28 while Nevis shut out Otter Tail Central 35-0 to get to the title game.

The nine-man title game will take place at 10 a.m. on Saturday.

Class A

Springfield (12-1) vs. Minneota (13-0)

Springfield reached the title game with a 36-12 win over Mahnomen/Wabun in the semifinals while Minneota routed Belgrad-Brooten-Elrosa 63-6 on Saturday morning.

The two teams will meet for the state title at 10 a.m. on Friday.

Class 2A

Barnesville (13-0) vs. Eden Valley-Watkins (12-0)

Barnesville advanced to the state title game after defeating Jackson County Central 38-23 on Friday while Eden Valley-Watkins followed with a 42-24 win over Cannon Falls.

The title game will take place at 1 p.m. on Friday.

Class 3A

Stewartville (13-0) vs. Annandale (12-0)

Stewartville reached the championship game with a 28-7 win over Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton while Annandale advanced with a 24-14 win over Dassel-Cokato on Saturday afternoon.

The Class 3A title game will take place at 1 p.m. on Saturday.

Class 4A

Rocori (10-2) vs. Hutchinson (10-2)

Hutchinson punched its ticket to the title game with a 56-28 win over North Branch on Friday night while Rocori won a 7-0 defensive battle with Byron on Thursday.

The title game will take place at 4 p.m. on Friday.

Class 5A

St. Thomas Academy (10-2) vs. Chanhassen (12-0)

Both teams had thrilling paths to the title game as St. Thomas Academy overcame a 23-point deficit to defeat Alexandria 42-30 on Friday night. and Chanhassen survived an overtime shootout in a 54-46 win over Andover Saturday night.

The title game will take place at 4 p.m. on Saturday.

Class 6A

Centennial (11-1) vs. Edina (9-3)

Centennial advanced to the title game after defeating Lakeville South 20-13 on Thursday night while Edina upset second-seeded Eden Prairie 28-7 on Friday night.

The title game will take place at 7 p.m. on Friday night.
