Anthony Edwards pulled himself out of the Timberwolves playoff game midway through the first quarter with an apparent knee injury Saturday night, only to return to the game a few minutes later.

After a pair of missed free throws by Memphis' Brandon Clarke, Edwards was dribbling the ball up the court when he grabbed his knee, passed the ball and walked to the bench, where he sat on the floor before being helped to the locker room.

Edwards was putting very little weight on his right leg when he left for the locker room. But after missing a few minutes in the locker room, ESPN's cameras showed him jogging out of the tunnel and back to the bench late in the first quarter.

Edwards had an ice pack on his right knee before he checked back into the game with about 3:45 left in the opening quarter.

This is a developing story.
