Problems with Bally Sports North app infuriates Timberwolves fans

Numerous users complained on social media of being unable to log in

Wolves fans expecting to watch their team on the Bally Sports North app Monday evening have instead been frustrated by problems trying to log in.

The Wolves are playing against the Hawks in Atlanta, but as the game started at 6:30 p.m. there were plenty of fans who found themselves unable to get the app to work.

Wolves reporter Dane Moore tweeted, "Have receiver many messages about the Bally app being down again." Moore originally said he had found a workaround but that too ended up crashing.

Twitter user @CountryTwolves posted, "Can't watch the game until the Bally sports North App decides to work," while countless users responded angrily to BSN's tweet announcing the tip-off in Atlanta.

There were similar responses to subsequent tweets by the broadcaster.

The Bally Sports Help account had earlier reported a "widespread outage" that was impacting "multiple partners."

"Our service provider experienced a widespread outage that impacted multiple partners. As it comes back online, signing in to Bally Sports will be impacted. We are currently working with our service provider on resolving the issue. We apologize and thank you for your patience."

Bally Sports' parent company, Diamond Sports Group, is currently in the midst of filing for bankruptcy. Bally has previously dropped the Padres and Diamondbacks' rights while at least two NBA teams, Utah Jazz and Phoenix Suns, have moved away from the regional broadcaster in favor of their own streaming apps.
