The Timberwolves fell for the third time in their last four games with a 137-121 loss to the lowly Memphis Grizzlies on Wednesday evening.

In his first game back from a two-game suspension, Karl-Anthony Towns dropped 25 points and 13 boards. It was his fourth double-double of the season despite the loss.

After trailing by 11 in the first quarter, the Wolves cut the lead to eight at halftime with a 38-point second quarter. Minnesota had a tough time defending the triple, as the Grizzlies went 8 of 13 from behind the arc in the first half.

The Wolves came within tying the game multiple times but were never able to take the lead, as they failed to deliver a clutch shot and Memphis eventually pulled away.

As a team, the Wolves finished the game hitting 45 % of their shots from the field (including from 35% deep) but their defense allowed Memphis to hit an even better 56% of their shots proving to be too much to overcome.

Minnesota was without a few regulars in their rotation with Shabazz Napier, Jordan Bell and starting point guard Jeff Teague were all unavailable.

Andrew Wiggins had a team leading 30 points, going 11 of 20 from the floor. It was the third straight game Wiggins went over 20 points.

Rookie Jarrett Culver also had a solid game finishing with 15 points, seven assists and five rebounds.

With the loss the Wolves fall to 4-3 on the season and return to action on Friday, Nov. 8 against the Golden State Warriors at Target Center.
