Twins outfielder Eddie Rosario has changed agencies and is now represented by Roc Nation Sports.

Roc Nation was founded by rapper Jay-Z and represents numerous high-profile athletes, including Robinson Cano, Yoenis Cespedes and recently retired C.C Sabathia.

With other star athletes like Saquon Barkley, Ndamukong Suh and Kyrie Irving signed under the same umbrella, Rosario is the latest to join the growing sports giant.

Rosario's teammate Miguel Sano was at one point represented by Roc Nation but departed for different representation last winter.

The timing of Rosario's new agency certainly is interesting. Rosario has two more years of team control remaining and is projected to make $8.9 million in 2020, according to MLB Trade Rumors, which is the highest of any arbitration-eligible player the Twins have on their roster.

Rosario had a big season in 2019, setting career highs in home runs (32) and RBI (109) but despite the achievements, his 1.6 WAR last season was two wins worse than his career high of 3.6 in 2018.

With the Twins expected to add to their starting rotation, Rosario could be a trade candidate this winter.

However, Rosario might be looking for a longterm deal similar to what Max Kepler and Jorge Polanco received before the 2019 season, although getting a bargain on Rosario the way the Twins did with Kepler and Polanco, who had yet to erupt with big seasons, would likely be more difficult.
