We now know the start times for Games 1 and 2 of the American League Division series between the Minnesota Twins and New York Yankees.

  • Game 1 is set for Friday, Oct. 4, with First Pitch at 6:07 p.m. CT and will air on MLB Network
  • Game 2 is Saturday, Oct. 5, with first pitch at 4:07 p.m. CT and will be aired on Fox Sports 1

The first two games will be played at Yankees Stadium before transitioning to Target Field for Games 3 and 4 but start times for the remaining three games of the series have not yet been announced.

We do know that Game 3 will be played on Monday, October 7 with games (if necessary) four and five set for Tuesday, Oct. 8 and Thursday, Oct. 10 respectively.

The Twins finished the 2019 season with a 101 wins, and bested the Yankees for the most team home runs (307) in single season.

Minnesota sports fans know the Yankees well, as they've defeated the Twins four times in the ALDS since 2003. In fact, the last time the Twins won a playoff game, was in 2004 at Yankee Stadium and since then, Minnesota has lost 13 consecutive playoff contests.

So hopefully the Twins can end more than once curse when the playoffs begin this weekend.
