One month after being hit in the mouth by a fastball from Lucas Giolito, Kyle Farmer is making his return to the Minnesota Twins.

According to reports, Farmer will be activated from the injured list Wednesday and take the roster spot of third baseman Jose Miranda, who is being sent to Triple-A St. Paul.

Farmer had seven hits in 31 at-bats, including one homer and one double, before the 92 mph fastball knocked him to the ground on April 12. He underwent surgery to fix his teeth and has just completed a rehab assignment at Triple-A St. Paul.

Miranda, meanwhile, is batting .220/.275/.318 with three homers, 13 RBIs and a below average .593 OPS. He is batting .120 (3 hits in 25 at-bats) in May and he's produced just one run despite batting in the middle of Minnesota's lineup.

The Twins host the Padres at 6:40 p.m. Wednesday.
