Huge news Saturday as the San Francisco 49ers have ruled out wide receiver Deebo Samuel for Monday night's game in Minnesota against the Vikings.

Samuel injured his shoulder in the first half of San Francisco's game against the Browns last week and did not return. He was said to be day-to-day all week but he never practiced and has now been ruled out.

What's more is that left tackle Trent Williams is doubtful with a left ankle injury. He left the game against Cleveland for a period before returning to action, but he too missed every practice this week and is now unlikely to play Monday night.

Christian McCaffrey, who has a chance to set an NFL record with a touchdown in 16 consecutive games, is questionable with an oblique injury. He practiced in limited fashion on Saturday. Reports earlier in the week suggested that his ability to play might be all about pain tolerance.

For the Vikings, starting left guard Ezra Cleveland is out with a foot injury. Dalton Risner will start in his place. Cornerback Akayleb Evans and wide receiver Jalen Nailor are both questionable with injuries.
