Adam Thielen's next career move will take him to Carolina, with the Minnesota native agreeing terms with the Panthers.

The news was initially broken by Pat McAfee on Sunday evening, with Thielen and the Panthers confirming the move a short time later.

"The 32-year-old Thielen would immediately become the team's most experienced and productive wideout by a wide margin," the announcement on the Panthers website reads.

Details of the deal have not been announced, but McAfee claims he's signing a three-year deal.

It was reported last week that Thielen was visiting with Carolina following his release from the Vikings.

He'll now join a team that is all-but-certain to select a quarterback with the No. 1 pick in the 2023 draft, and is in need of experience at wide receiver after the team traded DJ Moore to the Chicago Bears in order to get the pick.

The Detroit Lakes native became a legend over his nine years in Minnesota, developing into one of the most reliable wide receivers in the game after going undrafted before rising through the ranks at the Vikings.

He was released by the Vikings as the team made moves to become cap compliant ahead of last Wednesday's deadline. Thielen carried a $19.9 million cap hit in 2023 and releasing him saved the Vikings $6.4 million against the cap.
