Report: Vikings target Christian Wilkins chooses Raiders

Wilkins was reportedly the Vikings' top free agent target this offseason

Vikings fans hoping for a free agency double up of star defensive linemen will be left disappointed after defensive tackle Christian Wilkins is reportedly set to sign with Las Vegas.

According to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, the former Dolphins defensive tackle is agreeing to a four-year, $110 million deal with the Raiders.

Minnesota had reportedly been in on Wilkins along with several other teams, with The Athletic's Dianna Russini saying he was the Vikings' top target. Wilkins was drafted by the Dolphins when current Vikings defensive coordinator Brian Flores was Miami's head coach.

The news of Wilkins landing with the Raiders comes shortly after the Vikings reportedly agreed to a four-year, $76 million deal with former Texans edge rusher Jonathan Greenard.

With Wilkins now off the market, the Vikings will have to turn their attention elsewhere. Purple Insider's Matthew Coller listed former Texans defensive tackle Sheldon Rankins as a potential fit for the Vikings in free agency.
