Report: Vikings watched Odell Beckham Jr.'s private workout
The same day the Vikings cut hometown star Adam Thielen, they reportedly had representatives in Arizona watching Odell Beckham Jr.'s private workout.
Minnesota's front office seems to be at least doing their due diligence now that they're in the market for a WR2, according to CBS NFL insider Jonathan Jones.
Odell Beckham Jr. and Vikings head coach Kevin O'Connell have some experience together as O'Connell was the Rams' offensive coordinator the season Beckham landed in Los Angeles. The now-30-year-old receiver caught 27 passes for 305 yards and five touchdowns in seven regular season games for the Rams in 2021.
The connections don't end there between Beckham and the Vikings. Minnesota GM Kwesi Adofo-Mensah was in Cleveland's front office when Beckham was a Brown. Vikings star receiver Justin Jefferson and Beckham both played their college ball at LSU.
"He's just like an older brother to me," Jefferson said of Beckham in 2020, "so to have that connection with him is special for me."
