The Minnesota Vikings clinched their place in the NFL postseason in the most understated of fashion on Saturday.

The LA Rams last-gasp loss to the San Francisco 49ers ensured that the Vikings are uncatchable in the Wild Card spot going into the final game week.

The Vikings don't play their penultimate game until Monday Night Football, when they face off against the Packers at U.S. Bank Stadium.

While the Vikings' place is the playoffs is assured, there is still a whole lot to play for in the remaining two games.

The Vikings still have a shot of securing the No. 3 seed by beating the Packers on Monday and the Bears next week, and hope the Packers lose their final game to Detroit.

That would at least secure the Vikings home field advantage in the wild card round. 

It will mean the Packers return to the postseason after missing out last year when they lost their final regular season game at home to Chicago.
