Vikings offensive coordinator Wes Phillips arrested for DWI

He will still travel with the team to Las Vegas.

Vikings offensive coordinator Wes Phillips was arrested Friday night in Hennepin County and charged with misdemeanor operation of a vehicle while under the influence of alcohol, jail records show.

The arrest took place in the Twin Cities at 11 p.m., and Phillips was released just before 1:30 a.m. after posting a $300 bond.

Phillips has an initial court appearance scheduled for Dec. 21.

Phillips, 44, will still travel with the Vikings to Las Vegas for Sunday's game against the Raiders, according to a team statement.

"Wes immediately notified the team following his arrest last night. This morning we contacted the NFL, and after internal discussion, made the decision Wes will travel with the team to Las Vegas this afternoon," the Vikings said in a statement. "We will continue to gather information regarding the incident and have further comment at the appropriate time."
