The Minnesota Vikings have had an eventful 2022 NFL Draft but nothing could prepare them for what happened when Ed Marinaro went to the stage to announce their second-round pick.

Marinaro, who played for the Vikings from 1972-75 and is currently an actor, was part of an NFL tradition where one former player from each franchise announces a draft pick in the second round.

When Marinaro went to the stage, he gave an epic speech that ranged from his quest for a Viking purple sport coat to recalling when he was selected by the Vikings in the second round of the 1972 NFL Draft

"I got to be honest," Marinaro said. "They weren't at the top of my list for teams I wanted to be drafted by. In fact, there was only one team that I wanted to be drafted by less but I'm not going to mention Green Bay."

Marinaro went on to reprise his role as Marty Daniels from the Netflix comedy Blue Mountain State. After yelling "Go Goats!" several times before a producer walked on stage to tell Marinaro to announce the pick.

Three minutes into his appearance, Marinaro revealed that the Vikings selected Clemson cornerback Andrew Booth Jr.

The speech continued a wild draft for the Vikings who have traded down with the Detroit Lions and Green Bay Packers while picking up Booth and Georgia safety Lewis Cine.
