The Minnesota Wild are reportedly trading a 3rd-round pick for forward Marcus Johansson of the Washington Capitals.

The trade was first reported by ESPN's Kevin Weekes.

Johansson played for the Wild during the 2020-21 bubble season. In 36 games with Minnesota, Johansson scored six goals and 14 points, before suffering a broken arm in the playoff series against the Vegas Golden Knights.

Since his departure, he played for the Seattle Kraken before returning to the Capitals, where he has played for the majority of his 15-year career.

The NHL trade deadline is until 2 p.m. Friday.
