Brother of Clemson football coach Dabo Swinney arrested on child porn charges

The brother of Clemson football coach Dabo Swinney was arrested and charged with sexual exploitation of a minor, South Carolina AG Alan Wilson said.
Henry Ervil Swinney, 53, was arrested on April 23 after the attorney general said in a statement that investigators received a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children that led them to Mr. Swinney.
Investigators claim that Swinney distributed material involving child sexual abuse, a second-degree felony charge that could bring up to 10 years in prison.
According to a warrant, the content was “material containing a visual representation of a minor engaged in sexual activity and/or appearing in a state of sexually explicit nudity, via a file sharing link referred to as ‘Mega.’”
Swinney's case is being prosecuted by the office of the South Carolina Attorney General.
Dabo Swinney, the head football coach at Clemson since the 2008 season, has acknowledged his brother's legal troubles before.
Henry Swinney was arrested in 2017 as his brother's team was preparing for the College Football Playoff national championship game, in which Clemson beat Alabama, 35-31.
"My family's no different than anybody else," Dabo Swinney said at the time.
