QB Jayden Daniels will transfer to LSU for 2022 season, per reports

Former Arizona State quarterback Jayden Daniels has committed to Brian Kelly and LSU, according to a report from ESPN's Pete Thamel.
Daniels is eligible for spring practice and should arrive on LSU's campus in the next few weeks, according to multiple reports.
The 21 year old entered the NCAA transfer portal in February after he originally said he would remain at Arizona State in a December statement.
Daniels first emerged as the Sun Devils' starting quarterback as a freshman in 2019. Last season, Daniels completed 65.4 percent of his pass attempts, throwing 10 touchdowns, 10 interceptions, and finishing with the lowest YPA mark of his career.
Daniels' arrival at LSU figures to set up an impactful quarterback competition this spring.
Myles Brennan announced he would return to LSU this season after missing the 2021 campaign with an injury. He had originally entered the transfer portal, but Kelly and his staff convinced the Mississippi native to stay on with the Tigers instead.
Daniels and Brennan figure to be the two favorites to win the starting job, but redshirt freshman Garrett Nussmeier and early enrollee Walker Howard are also in the picture.
Daniels is a graduate transfer, which means he will be allowed to start angling for the job this spring. Reports suggest he will arrive in mid-March, giving LSU the full allotment of practices during spring and summer camp to evaluate him.
Daniels threw for 6,025 yards and 32 touchdowns over three years as Arizona State's starter at the quarterback position.
