At the time of this posting, the Cleveland Guardians lead the Texas Rangers, 4-2, in the bottom of the sixth inning.

While the lead is important and a possible win is important for the Guardians playoff chances, the real story of this game is the history made by Guardians players Bo and Josh Naylor.

Per @OptaSTATS on Twitter:

Bo and Josh Naylor of the @CleGuardians are the first pair of brothers in MLB history to hit multi-run homers for the same team in the same inning.

That's the kind of stuff you dream about in the backyard as kids. It's also a little bit of the "anything you can do, I can do better" stuff that brothers have going on.

Either way, it's awesome.

Bo Naylor homered first, hitting a two-run shot off Jon Gray in the top of the third. Josh came a few batters later, connecting off Gray for another two-run blast.

The younger of the two brothers, Bo was called up a few weeks ago and is hitting .208 with two home runs and seven RBI.

Josh, who hits cleanup for the Guardians, is more established, hitting .306 this season with 12 homers and 66 RBI. Lifetime, he's a .265 hitter with 48 homers and 204 RBI. He's in his fifth year in the big leagues with the Padres and Guardians.

If the Guardians go on to win this game, they'll move to 46-45 on the season. They entered the day in first place in the American League Central by 0.5 games over the Minnesota Twins.
