The Los Angeles Dodgers continued their recent surge on Thursday by beating the Colorado Rockies, 14-3. The win moved the Dodgers to 45-35 and means they've won six of their last 10.

The offense was clicking for the Dodgers as the team had three innings of multiple runs scored. Five Dodgers players recorded multi-hit games including first baseman Freddie Freeman, who went 2-3.

Freeman also added a homer and three RBI. He even made some team history in the win.

Per ESPN Stats & Info:

Freddie Freeman knocks in his 50th RBI of the season. Freeman is the first Dodgers player with 100 hits, 50 RBI & 10 stolen bases before the month of July since RBI was first tracked in 1920.

Freeman is now hitting .321 this season with 14 homers, 52 RBI and a .943 OPS. Along with Mookie Betts, he drives the Dodgers talented offense.

Lifetime, Freeman is a .299 hitter with 306 homers. He's in his 14th year in the big leagues with the Braves and Dodgers. He helped Atlanta win the 2021 World Series title and could help the Dodgers to the same thing this year.

Right now, Los Angeles is 2.0 games behind the Arizona Diamondbacks in the National League West and in second place. They just leapfrogged the Giants for that position, who they lead by 0.5 games. LA currently holds the second wild card spot as well.

Done with the Rockies, the Dodgers will take on the hapless Kansas City Royals on Friday night. First pitch from Kauffman Stadium is 8:10 p.m. ET.
