BREAKING: WWE On-Air Talent Shockingly Released Before Elimination Chamber 2024

This recent WWE release caught people off guard.

One on-air WWE talent has been let go by the company.

It's never an easy time when a talent or office worker is released by WWE. Reports used to surface of WWE stars fearing for their jobs under the Vince McMahon regime due to the infamous "budget cuts" the company often had. Since McMahon has been out of the picture amid sexual assault allegations, a lawsuit, and a federal investigation, WWE cuts have been a bit more subtle.

Most of the releases have hit departments outside of talent amid the TKO Group Holdings formation, housing both WWE and the UFC.

This time, however, a familiar face is unfortunately gone from WWE.

PWInsider is reporting that on-air personality Matt Camp is now out of the top wrestling company. He was reportedly released last week. Camp had been seen as a host on "The Bump" as well as NXT Kickoff shows.

The report notes that this was surprising news to many within the company. A reason for Camp's release was not given. There also wasn't an internal memo given on the release, so this was done rather quietly.

It is the second recent release in the wrestling industry that came as a surprise to many. TNA Wrestling recently axed Scott D'Amore despite the high praise he had been receiving for his behind the scenes work. Matt Camp finds himself in similar territory, as he is said to have been well-liked and his work on camera was also praised.

We'll update you on the WWE release of Matt Camp once further details emerge.
