VIDEO: Takedown Sends MMA Fighters Flying Through Cage Door At LFA Event

One of the craziest sequences you'll ever see in an MMA bout went down at LFA 160 in Kentucky.

Every fighter knows the importance of driving through your takedowns, but Josiah Harrell may have put a little bit too much force behind his attempt to get things to the ground at LFA 160.

The undefeated Harrell was matched up with Mike Roberts on the main card of LFA 160, which took place at the Owensboro Sportscenter in Owensboro, Kentucky. Both men were making their respective debuts for the LFA, but the evening ended up being a memorable one for a rather unexpected reason.

Just under a minute into the final round, Harrell charged forward and secured Roberts’ legs for what looked to be a takedown attempt that would be halted by the fence. Instead, Harrell ended up driving his opponent's back directly into the cage door and the two fighters tumbled straight through.

“Muscle Hamster” immediately made his way back into the cage and appeared noticeably satisfied with his accomplishment. Roberts also stepped back inside and seemed no worse for wear despite the unexpected incident, and after a short break the two fighters were able to resume their bout.

It looked as if Harrell might see the judges’ scorecards for the first time in his pro career, but with less than two minutes remaining in the fight he was able to get on Roberts' back and end things with punches. The 24-year-old extended his unbeaten record to 7-0, with all of those wins coming via finish.

Roberts suffered his second-straight loss when he was stopped in the final round, but even if it wasn’t the result that “Magic” hoped for he certainly left the cage with a unique story that very few fighters will ever experience.
