UPDATE: Anthony Edwards' Current Injury Status For Timberwolves-Cavs Game

Anthony Edwards is on the injury report for Friday's game.

On Friday evening, the Minnesota Timberwolves will face off against Darius Garland and the Cleveland Cavaliers in Ohio.  

For the game, they could be without their best player, as All-Star guard Anthony Edwards is on the injury report.

Edwards is having an excellent season and is currently averaging 26.4 points, 5.2 rebounds, 5.0 assists and 1.3 steals per contest while shooting 46.7% from the field and 37.9% from the three-point range in 60 games.  

The Timberwolves are the first seed in the Western Conference with a 44-19 record in 63 games. 

They have gone 7-3 over their last ten games and are also in the middle of a two-game winning streak. 

Most recently, the Timberwolves beat the Indiana Pacers by a score of 113-111. 

Edwards had 44 points, six rebounds, three assists, two steals and two blocks while shooting 18/35 from the field and 3/7 from the three-point range in 39 minutes of playing time. 

After the Cavs, the Timberwolves will visit LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers on Sunday evening in California. 

As for the Cavs, they are the third seed in the Eastern Conference with a 40-22 record in 62 games.  

They have gone 5-5 over their last ten games and most recently lost to the Atlanta Hawks by a score of 112-101. 

Following their matchup with the Timberwolves, the Cavs will play their next game on Sunday evening when they host Mikal Bridges and the Brooklyn Nets in Ohio.
