BREAKING: Brandon Ingram's Injury Status For Warriors-Pelicans Game

Brandon Ingram has been ruled out for Monday's game.

On Monday evening, the New Orleans Pelicans will host the Golden State Warriors.

However, they will be without one of their best players for the game, as Brandon Ingram has been ruled out.

Via The Pelicans: "Brandon Ingram (Right Knee Soreness) has been downgraded to OUT for tonight’s game vs. Golden State"

Ingram has played in the team's first two games and is averaging 22.5 points, 7.0 rebounds, 4.5 assists and 1.5 steals per contest while shooting 51.4% from the field.

The Pelicans have gone 2-0 and are coming off a 96-87 victory against the New York Knicks (Ingram led the team with 26 points).

Last season, the former Duke star averaged 24.7 points, 5.5 rebounds and 5.8 assists per contest while shooting 48.4% from the field and 39.0% from the three-point range.

The Pelicans are coming off a season where they were the ninth seed in the Western Conference.

They lost to the Oklahoma City Thunder in the play-in tournament, so they missed the NBA playoffs.

That said, the Pelicans have a very talented roster, so they should be able to compete for the 2024 playoffs (if they can have a healthy season).

Meanwhile, the Warriors are 2-1 in their first three games and coming off a 105-96 victory over the Houston Rockets.

They will also be playing without two of their best players, as Klay Thompson and Jonathan Kuminga have been ruled out.

Last season, the Warriors lost to the Los Angeles Lakers in the second round of the playoffs.
