UPDATE: Donovan Mitchell's Current Injury Status For Cavs-Pistons Game

Donovan Mitchell is on the injury report for Friday's game.

UPDATE: Donovan Mitchell has been ruled out (h/t Johnny Kane of Bally Sports). 

On Friday evening, the Cleveland Cavaliers will face off against the Detroit Pistons in Michigan.   

For the game, the Cavs could be without their best player, as All-Star guard Donovan Mitchell is on the injury report.   

Via Underdog NBA: "Donovan Mitchell (knee) listed questionable for Friday."

Mitchell has played in 47 games this season and is averaging 28.0 points, 5.4 rebounds, 6.2 assists and 1.8 steals per contest while shooting 47.2% from the field and 37.1% from the three-point range. 

The Cavs are in the middle of a fantastic year and are the second seed in the Eastern Conference with a 38-20 record in 58 games. 

They are 6-4 over their last ten games but most recently lost to the Chicago Bulls (in double-overtime) by a score of 132-123. 

In 44 minutes of playing time, Mitchell had 19 points, five rebounds and three assists while shooting 5/13 from the field and 4/9 from the three-point range. 

Following their matchup with the Pistons, the Cavs will return home to host Jalen Brunson and the New York Knicks on Sunday evening in Ohio. 

As for the Pistons, they have had a tough season and are the 14th seed in the Eastern Conference with a 9-49 record in 58 games. 

They are 3-7 over their last ten games but most recently beat the Chicago Bulls by a score of 105-95. 

Cade Cunningham led the team with 26 points.

Following the Cavs, the Pistons will visit the Orlando Magic on Sunday evening in Floria.
