FINAL UPDATE: Giannis Antetokounmpo's Updated Injury Status For Heat-Bucks Game 2

Giannis Antetokounmpo has been upgraded to questionable for Game 2.

FINAL UPDATE: Giannis Antetokounmpo has been ruled out.

On Wednesday evening, the Milwaukee Bucks will host the Miami Heat for Game 2 of their first-round playoff series in Wisconsin.

Two-time MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo exited Game 1 with a back injury and was originally listed as doubtful for Game 2.

However, the All-Star forward has been upgraded to questionable, which is a good sign that he could end up playing.

Via Underdog NBA: "Giannis Antetokounmpo (back) now listed questionable Wednesday."

In Game 1, the Bucks lost 130-117, and Antetokounmpo only played 11 minutes, putting up six points and three rebounds.

He is arguably the best player in the NBA and averaged an excellent 31.1 points, 11.8 rebounds and 5.7 assists per contest while shooting 55.3% from the field during the regular season.

Therefore, his availability has significant implications for this series and the NBA Playoffs as a whole.

Games 3 and 4 will be in Miami, so the Bucks will want to avoid falling into an 0-2 hole before going on the road.

They have been among the top teams in the NBA over the last four seasons and had the best record (58-24) in the league this year.

In 2021, the Bucks won the NBA Championship, and last season they lost in the second round of the playoffs.

As for the Heat, they are the eighth seed after going 44-38 and losing their first play-in tournament game.

They have been to the Conference Finals in two of the last three seasons and made the NBA Finals in 2020.
