UPDATE: Jalen Brunson's Current Injury Status For Pelicans-Knicks Game

Jalen Brunson is on the injury report for Tuesday's game.

UPDATE: Jalen Brunson has been ruled out (h/t SNY's Ian Begley).  

On Tuesday evening, the New York Knicks will host the New Orleans Pelicans at Madison Square Garden in Manhattan.    

For the game, the Knicks could be without their best player, as All-Star point guard Jalen Brunson is on the injury report.  

Via SNY's Ian Begley: "Jalen Brunson (cervical spasms in neck) and Isaiah Hartenstein (left Achilles tendinopathy) are questionable for tonight’s game vs. NOP, Knicks say"

Brunson is averaging 27.7 points, 3.7 rebounds, 6.7 assists and 1.0 steals per contest while shooting 47.8% from the field and 40.3% from the three-point range in 55 games. 

The Knicks are the fourth seed in the Eastern Conference with a 35-23 record in 58 games. 

They are 4-6 over their last ten games and most recently beat the Detroit Pistons by a score of 113-111. 

In 40 minutes of playing time, Brunson had 35 points, one rebound, 12 assists and two steals while shooting 11/26 from the field and 3/11 from the three-point range. 

Following the Pelicans, the Knicks will remain in New York City to host Klay Thompson and the Golden State Warriors on Thursday evening at Madison Square Garden. 

As for the Pelicans, they are the sixth seed in the Western Conference with a 34-24 record in 58 games. 

They are in the middle of a two-game losing streak and are 7-3 over their last ten games. 

Following their showdown with New York, the Pelicans will remain on the road and travel to Indiana to face off against the Pacers on Wednesday evening.
