The 26-year-old had an excellent regular season, with averages of 26.6 points, 6.9 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 1.1 steals per contest while shooting 49.1% from the field.

He also made the second All-Star Game of his career, and the Celtics finished as the second seed in the Eastern Conference with a 57-25 record.

In the first round, they beat the Atlanta Hawks in six games.

The former Cal star played in all six games and averaged an outstanding 26.7 points, 5.3 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 1.2 steals per contest while shooting 54.1% from the field.

Last year, Brown helped lead the Celtics to the NBA Finals for the first time since the 2010 season, and he has been to the Eastern Conference Finals four times in his first six seasons.

As for the 76ers, they are the third seed (54-28) and swept the Brooklyn Nets in the first round.

That said, All-Star center Joel Embiid missed Game 4 and is listed as doubtful on the injury report for Game 1 against the Celtics.

Whoever wins the series will advance to the Conference Finals and face off against either the Miami Heat or New York Knicks (the Heat currently lead the series 1-0).
