UPDATE: Karl-Anthony Towns' Injury Status For Thunder-Timberwolves Game

Karl-Anthony Towns is on the injury report for Friday's game.

On Friday night, the Minnesota Timberwolves will host the Oklahoma City Thunder at the Target Center for the play-in tournament.  

For the game, one of their best players (Karl-Anthony Towns) is on the injury report listed as questionable. 

Underdog NBA: "Karl-Anthony Towns (calf) questionable for Friday."

The three-time NBA All-Star played 29 regular season games with averages of 20.8 points, 8.1 rebounds and 4.8 assists per contest while shooting 49.5% from the field and 36.6% from the three-point range.  

Towns also played 41 minutes on Tuesday evening when the Timberwolves lost 108-102 in overtime against the Los Angeles Lakers in their first play-in tournament game. 

He put up 24 points, 11 rebounds, five assists and three blocks. 

The winner of Friday's game will become the eighth seed in the Western Conference and face off with the Denver Nuggets in the first round of the NBA Playoffs. 

Meanwhile, the loser will head home for the 2023 offseason. 

Last year, Towns helped lead the Timberwolves to the playoffs for the first time since the 2018 season (they lost in the first round to the Memphis Grizzlies in six games). 

This season, they finished with a 42-40 record and went 22-19 in the 41 games they hosted on their home floor at the Target Center. 

As for the Thunder, they beat the New Orleans Pelicans 123-118 on Wednesday evening in their first play-in tournament game. 

They have been one of the best surprises in the league this season and finished with a 40-42 record.
