Starter Ruled Out For Mavs-Lakers Game

ESPN's Dave McMenamin reports that Cam Reddish has been ruled out for Wednesday's game.

On Wednesday evening, the Los Angeles Lakers are hosting the Dallas Mavericks in California. 

For the game, the Lakers will be without one of their best players, as Cam Reddish has been ruled out (according to ESPN's Dave McMenamin). 

Reddish got injured during Tuesday's game and did not return. 

Via McMenamin: "Cam Reddish is still experiencing soreness in his groin and will miss tonight’s game against the Mavericks, sources tell ESPN."

Reddish is averaging 7.4 points, 2.5 rebounds, 1.1 assists and 1.7 steals per contest while shooting 42.2% from the field and 34.1% from the three-point range (he has started in nine out of 15 games).  

The Lakers are 9-6 in their first 15 games, which has them as the sixth seed in the Western Conference. 

They are in the middle of a three-game winning streak and are 6-4 in their previous ten games. 

At home, the Lakers are 7-1 in the eight games they have hosted in Los Angeles, California. 

Reddish is in his first season with Los Angeles and has also played for the Atlanta Hawks, New York Knicks and Portland Trail Blazers (he is in his fifth season in the NBA).  

Following the Mavs, the Lakers will play their next game on Saturday evening against the Cleveland Cavaliers in Ohio. 

As for the Mavs, they are 9-5 in their first 14 games and in the middle of a two-game losing streak. 

They are 5-5 in their previous ten games and 5-3 in the eight games they have played on the road away from Dallas, Texas.
