LaMelo Ball's Official Injury Status For Hornets-Raptors Game

LaMelo Ball is on the injury report for Sunday's game.

On Sunday evening, the Charlotte Hornets will be in Canada to face off against the Toronto Raptors.   

For the game, the Hornets will be without their best player, as 2022 NBA All-Star LaMelo Ball has been ruled out.    

Ball has missed each of the previous 17 games, so this will be his 18th straight out of the lineup.

Ball is averaging 23.9 points, 5.1 rebounds, 8.0 assists and 1.8 steals per contest while shooting 43.3% from the field and 35.5% from the three-point range in 22 games. 

The Hornets have had a tough season and are the 13th seed in the Eastern Conference with a 15-45 record in 60 games. 

They are in the middle of a three-game losing streak and have gone 5-5 over their last ten games. 

Most recently, the Hornets lost to Tyrese Maxey and the Philadelphia 76ers by a score of 121-114.

Following the Raptors, they will return home to host Paolo Banchero and the Orlando Magic on Tuesday evening in North Carolina. 

As for the Raptors, they are the 12th seed in the Eastern Conference with a 22-38 record in 60 games. 

They are in the middle of a two-game losing streak and have gone 5-5 over their last ten games. 

Following the Hornets, the Raptors will remain at home to host Zion Williamson and the New Orleans Pelicans on Tuesday evening in Canada.
