Miami Heat Star Remains Out Indefinitely

According to Anthony Chiang of The Miami Herald, Erik Spoelstra spoke about Bam Adebayo before Monday's game.

On Monday evening, the Miami Heat will face off against the Charlotte Hornets in North Carolina.

For the game, the Heat remain without one of their best players, as All-Star center Bam Adebayo will miss his fourth straight game.

Before Monday's game, head coach Erik Spoelstra spoke about Adebayo and revealed that he remains out indefinitely (h/t Anthony Chiang of The Miami Herald).

Via Chiang: "Erik Spoelstra says he doesn't have timetable for Bam Adebayo's return. Spoelstra: "I wouldn't read too much into it of him being on this trip other than he really wanted to be here and he can do his work. So, it's good.""

Adebayo has played in 16 games so far this season and is averaging 22.2 points 9.9 rebounds, 3.9 assists, 1.2 steals and 1.0 blocks per contest while shooting 52.2% from the field and 33.3% from the three-point range.

He is one of the team's best players, so his status is vital to the team's success.

Over the last three games without Adebayo, the Heat have gone 1-2.

Most recently, they lost to the Cleveland Cavaliers on Friday by a score of 111-99.

Adebayo was the 14th pick in the 2017 NBA Draft out of Kentucky and is in his seventh season in the league (all with the Heat).

He has helped the Heat reach the NBA Finals twice and the Eastern Conference Finals three times (over the previous four seasons).

Following Monday's game, the Heat will host the Hornets in Miami on Wednesday evening.
