UPDATE: Rudy Gobert's Status For Thunder-Timberwolves Game

Rudy Gobert is on the injury report for Friday's game.

UPDATE: Rudy Gobert is available.

On Friday night, the Minnesota Timberwolves will host the Oklahoma City Thunder for the play-in tournament.

For the game, they could be without one of their best players, and Rudy Gobert is on the injury report listed as questionable.

Underdog NBA: "Rudy Gobert (back) questionable for Friday."

The three-time NBA All-Star was suspended for Tuesday's game against the Los Angeles Lakers (the Timberwolves lost 108-102 in overtime).

He is in his first season with the franchise and averaged a solid 13.4 points, 11.6 rebounds, 1.2 assists and 1.4 blocks per contest in 70 games while shooting 65.9% from the field.

Before the trade to Minnesota, Gobert had spent the first nine seasons of his career with the Utah Jazz (they made the NBA Playoffs over each of the last five seasons).

The Timberwolves finished the season with a 42-40 record, which had them as the eighth seed.

They are 22-19 in the 41 games they have hosted on their home floor at the Target Center, and the winner of Friday's game will advance to the NBA Playoffs and face off with the Denver Nuggets in the first round.

On the other hand, the loser will head into the 2023 offseason.

As for the Thunder, they have been one of the best surprises in the NBA.

The team had no expectations coming into the year but went 40-42 during the regular season and defeated the New Orleans Pelicans 123-118 (on the road in Louisiana) on Wednesday in their first play-in tournament game.
