Last year, the Timberwolves made the NBA Playoffs for the first time since the 2018 season (they lost to the Memphis Grizzlies in the first round in six games).

The winner of Friday's game will become the eighth seed and face off with Nikola Jokic and the Denver Nuggets in the first round of the playoffs.
