Boston Celtics Make A Roster Move Following Hawks Game

The Boston Celtics have assigned a player to the G League.

On Sunday evening, the Boston Celtics hosted the Atlanta Hawks in Massachusetts. 

The Celtics won the game by a score of 113-103 and Jayson Tatum led the way with 34 points, nine rebounds, four assists and two steals while shooting 11/25 from the field and 5/13 from the three-point range.  

Jordan Walsh was called up from the G League (before the game), but he did not get any playing time. 

On Monday, the Celtics have now announced that Walsh has been assigned to the G League. 

Via The Celtics: "We have assigned Jordan Walsh to the @MaineCeltics."

Walsh was the 38th pick in the 2023 NBA Draft out of Arkansas and has yet to make his debut with the Celtics. 

During his one season in college, the 19-year-old averaged 7.1 points, 3.9 rebounds and 1.1 assists per contest while shooting 43.3% from the field and 27.8% from the three-point range in 36 games. 

Currently, Walsh has been getting a lot of playing time in the G League, and the Maine Celtics will play their next game on Wednesday when they visit the Westchester Knicks. 

As for the Celtics, they are off to a fantastic start to the season, and are the first seed in the Eastern Conference with a 13-4 record in their first 17 games. 

They are 8-2 over their previous ten games and a perfect 7-0 at home in Boston. 

The Celtics will play their next game on Tuesday evening when they host Zach LaVine and the Chicago Bulls.
