Boston Celtics Make Roster Move Before 76ers Game

The Boston Celtics have recalled Jordan Walsh from the G League.

On Tuesday evening, the Boston Celtics will host the Philadelphia 76ers in Massachusetts. 

Before the game (on Monday), the Celtics announced that they had made a roster move by recalling rookie Jordan Walsh from the Maine Celtics. 

The 19-year-old is coming off a strong performance (on Sunday) where he put up 16 points, five rebounds, two steals and one block while shooting 7/9 from the field in 28 minutes of playing time.  

Maine defeated the Westchester Knicks by a score of 130-110.

Wash was the 38th pick in the 2023 NBA Draft out of Arkansas and has played in four games for the Celtics.  

He has spent a lot of time going back and forth between Maine and Boston. 

With Maine, Walsh is averaging 14.6 points, 7.1 rebounds, 1.4 assists and 1.1 steals per contest in 18 regular season games. 

As for the Celtics, they are the best team in the NBA and the first seed in the Eastern Conference with a 45-12 record in 57 games.  

They are 9-1 over their last ten games and are also in the middle of an eight-game winning streak. 

Most recently, the Celtics beat the New York Knicks by a score of 116-102. 

All-Star forward Jaylen Brown led the way with 30 points, eight rebounds, three assists and one steal while shooting 13/24 from the field. 

Following the 76ers, the Celtics will host Luka Doncic and the Dallas Mavericks on Friday evening.
