BREAKING: 3-Year NBA Player Ruled Out For Remainder Of Season

The Washington Wizards announced an injury update on Isaiah Livers.

Last month, Isaiah Livers was traded from the Detroit Pistons to the Washington Wizards.

However, Livers has not played in a game for the Wizards, and on Monday, the team announced that he will miss the remainder of the season (h/t HoopsRumors).

The 25-year-old ends his season with averages of 5.0 points, 2.1 rebounds and 1.1 assists per contest while shooting 34.5% from the field and 28.6% from the three-point range in 23 games.

Via The Washington Wizards: "Injury Update: Isaiah Livers will miss the remainder of the regular season due to joint capsule inflammation in his right hip.

The injury will be treated conservatively."

Livers was the 42nd pick in the 2021 NBA Draft out of Michigan.

Before the trade, he had spent each of his first three seasons with the Pistons.

His career averages are 6.2 points and 2.6 rebounds per contest while shooting 40.7% from the field and 35.8% from the three-point range in 94 regular season games.

This summer, Livers will become a restricted free agent.

As for the Wizards, it's been a tough season for the franchise, and they will more than likely miss the NBA playoffs (and the play-in tournament).

Right now, they are the 14th seed in the Eastern Conference with a 9-48 record in 57 games.

They are in the middle of an 11-game losing streak and most recently lost to the Cleveland Cavaliers by a score of 114-105.

Following the Cavs, the Wizards will play their next game on Tuesday evening when they host Steph Curry and the Golden State Warriors.
