BREAKING: Atlanta Hawks Reportedly Sign Former NBA 1st-Round Pick

According to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski, the Atlanta Hawks will sign Dylan Windler, who was recently with the Los Angeles Lakers.

UPDATE: The Atlanta Hawks have officially signed Dylan Windler.  

On March 2, the Los Angeles Lakers waived Dylan Windler, who had been on a two-way contract.   

The 27-year-old had been averaging 1.5 points per contest in his eight games with Los Angeles.  

Now that he has cleared waivers, ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski reports that Windler will sign a two-way deal with the Atlanta Hawks

Via Wojnarowski: "Free agent G/F Dylan Windler has agreed on a two-way deal with the Atlanta Hawks, Andy Shiffman and Mark Bartelstein of @PrioritySports tell ESPN. Windler has played with the Lakers and Knicks this season"

Windler was the 26th pick in the 2019 NBA Draft and has played for the Cleveland Cavaliers, New York Knicks (and Lakers) over his four seasons in the NBA. 

He has career averages of 3.1 points and 2.1 rebounds per contest while shooting 41.7% from the field and 33.3% from the three-point range in 95 games.

Windler has also spent time in the G League this season and is averaging 13.0 points, 10.2 rebounds, 1.7 assists and 1.0 steals per contest while shooting 37.0% from the field and 31.1% from the three-point range in six regular season games. 

As for the Hawks, they are the tenth seed in the Eastern Conference with a 26-34 record in 60 games. 

They are in the middle of a two-game losing streak and have gone 4-6 over their last ten games. 

Most recently, the Hawks lost to the Brooklyn Nets by a score of 114-102, and they will play their next game on Tuesday evening against the New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden.
