BREAKING: Minnesota Timberwolves Reportedly Sign NBA Champion Forward

According to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski, the Minnesota Timberwolves will sign Justin Jackson.

UPDATE: Justin Jackson has officially signed with the Minnesota Timberwolves. 

Justin Jackson was most recently in the NBA when he appeared in 23 regular season games for the Boston Celtics last year.  

He has been currently playing in the G League for the Texas Legends and is averaging 19.5 points, 5.8 rebounds and 3.5 assists per contest while shooting 46.5% from the field and 41.2% from the three-point range in 19 regular season games.  

On Wednesday afternoon, ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski reported that Jackson will be signing a ten-day deal with the Minnesota Timberwolves

Via Wojnarowski: "The Timberwolves are signing Justin Jackson to a 10-day contract, sources tell ESPN."

Jackson was the 15th pick in the 2017 NBA Draft and has played six seasons in the league. 

In addition to the Celtics, the 28-year-old has also spent time with the Sacramento Kings, Dallas Mavericks, Oklahoma City Thunder, Phoenix Suns and Milwaukee Bucks.

His career averages are 6.0 points, 2.4 rebounds and 1.0 assists per contest while shooting 42.3% from the field and 31.9% from the three-point range in 278 regular season games. 

Jackson has also appeared in eight playoff games and was with the Bucks when they won the 2021 NBA Championship over the Phoenix Suns. 

As for the Timberwolves, they are the first seed in the Western Conference with a 39-16 record in 55 games.  

They are in the middle of a four-game winning streak and are 7-3 over their last ten games. 

On Friday evening, the Timberwolves will return to action when they host Damian Lillard and the Milwaukee Bucks.
