BREAKING: Knicks And Raptors Reportedly Make A Blockbuster Trade

According to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski, the New York Knicks and Toronto Raptors "are finalizing a trade."

UPDATE: The trade is official. 

UPDATE: Shams Charania of The Athletic and Stadium has added more details about the deal. 

Via Charania: "Raptors are also sending Malachi Flynn and Precious Achiuwa to the Knicks in the OG Anunoby-RJ Barrett-Immanuel Quickley trade, sources said."

On Saturday evening, the New York Knicks will be in Indiana to face off against the Pacers.  

Meanwhile, the Toronto Raptors are in Michigan to play the Detroit Pistons. 

Before the games, ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski reported that the Knicks and Raptors "are finalizing a trade." 

Via Wojnarowski's first post: "The Toronto Raptors are finalizing a trade to send OG Anunoby to the New York Knicks for a package including RJ Barrett, Immanuel Quickley and draft considerations, sources tell ESPN."

Via Wojnarowski's second post: "Precious Achiuwa is also part of the deal to the Knicks, sources tell ESPN."

Via Wojnarowski's third post: "The Toronto Raptors are acquiring a New York 2024 second-round pick via the Detroit Pistons, sources tell ESPN."

Anunoby is in his seventh season in the NBA (all with the Raptors) and is currently averaging 15.1 points, 3.9 rebounds, 2.6 assists and 1.0 steals per contest while shooting 48.9% from the field and 37.4% from the three-point range.   

He is known as an excellent defender and could end up being a massive addition to the Knicks' starting lineup.  

As for Barrett, he was the third pick in the 2019 NBA Draft and is currently averaging 18.2 points, 4.3 rebounds and 2.4 assists per contest while shooting 42.3% from the field and 33.1% from the three-point range. 

Quickley is also a talented player, averaging 15.0 points, 2.6 rebounds and 2.5 assists per contest while shooting 45.4% from the field and 39.5% from the three-point range.

The Knicks are the seventh seed in the Eastern Conference with a 17-14 record, while the Raptors are the 12th seed in the Eastern Conference with a 12-19 record.
