BREAKING: Philadelphia 76ers Reportedly Will Sign Former NBA 1st Round Pick

According to Shams Charania of The Athletic and Stadium, the Philadelphia 76ers will sign Darius Bazley.

UPDATE: Darius Bazley has officially signed with the 76ers. 

Darius Bazley is coming off a year where he appeared in 43 regular season games for the Phoenix Suns and Oklahoma City Thunder.    

The 23-year-old averaged 5.2 points and 3.2 rebounds per contest while shooting 45.4% from the field and 37.7% from the three-point range.   

On Monday morning, Shams Charania of The Athletic and Stadium reported that Bazley will be signing a ten-day deal with the Philadelphia 76ers.  

Via Charania: "Sources: The Philadelphia 76ers plan to sign forward Darius Bazley to a 10-day contract out of their NBA G League Delaware Blue Coats. Entering his fifth NBA season, Bazley is coming off a 38-point, 15-rebound game and averaging 21 PPG and 10 RPG as one of G League's best."

Bazley was the 23rd pick in the 2019 NBA Draft and has career averages of 9.1 points, 5.3 rebounds and 1.2 assists per contest while shooting 41.1% from the field and 31.0% from the three-point range in 228 regular season games. 

He's also appeared in seven NBA playoff games with Oklahoma City. 

Bazley has been excellent in the G League this season and is averaging 20.1 points, 9.3 rebounds, 3.8 assists, 1.2 steals and 2.3 blocks per contest while shooting 47.3% from the field in 18 regular season games (17 starts). 

As for the 76ers, they are the fifth seed in the Eastern Conference with a 32-22 record in 54 games. 

They are 3-7 over their last ten games and will host the New York Knicks on Thursday evening in Philadelphia.
