BREAKING: Shocking Draymond Green Suspension Announced By NBA

The NBA announced that Draymond Green (Golden State Warriors) has been suspended indefinitely.

On Tuesday evening, the Golden State Warriors lost to the Phoenix Suns by a score of 119-116 in Arizona.

During the game, Draymond Green was ejected after being assessed a Flagrant 2 foul.

The NBA has now announced (on Wednesday) that Green will be suspended indefinitely.

Via NBA Communications: "Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green has been suspended indefinitely for striking Phoenix Suns center Jusuf Nurkic in the face, it was announced today by Joe Dumars, Executive Vice President, Head of Basketball Operations. This outcome takes into account Green's repeated history of unsportsmanlike acts."

Shams Charania of The Athletic and Stadium reported more details.

Via Charania: "Sources: Golden State's Draymond Green is expected to receive counseling and work with the Warriors and NBA while suspended after striking Phoenix's Jusuf Nurkic in the head on Tuesday night. He has to meet criteria before a return to play."

Green has played in 15 games so far this season and is averaging 9.7 points, 5.5 rebounds and 5.8 assists per contest while shooting 49.0% from the field and 42.9% from the three-point range.

He is in his 12th season in the NBA (all with Golden State) and has helped lead the franchise to four titles over the previous nine seasons.

The Warriors have struggled so far this season and are currently the 11th seed in the Western Conference with a 10-13 record in their first 23 games.

They are in the middle of a two-game losing streak and will visit the Los Angeles Clippers on Thursday evening.
