The 24-year-old averaged 1.3 points per contest while shooting 39.1% from the field.

This summer, the Hawks waived Martin, so he became a free agent.

On Wednesday, Shams Charania of The Athletic and Stadium reported that Martin will sign a deal with the Minnesota Timberwolves

Via Charania: "The Minnesota Timberwolves are signing former Hawks G/F Tyrese Martin to a one-year deal, sources tell @TheAthletic @Stadium. Martin will compete for a regular-season spot in T'Wolves training camp."

Over 23 regular season games, he averaged 18.0 points, 9.2 rebounds and 1.9 assists per contest while shooting 50.3% from the field and 36.6% from the three-point range (he also appeared in seven Showcase Cup games).

As for the Timberwolves, they are coming off a year where they were the eighth seed in the Western Conference with a 42-40 record.

They lost to the Denver Nuggets in the first round of the NBA playoffs.
