BREAKING: Golden State Warriors Make A Trade Involving 5 Draft Picks

According to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski, the Portland Trail Blazers, Detroit Pistons and Golden State Warriors have agreed to a three-team deal.

UPDATE: The deal also included the Atlanta Hawks and has been completed.

The NBA trading deadline is coming to a close and the last-minute deals are being reported on quickly.

According to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski, the Portland Trail Blazers, Detroit Pistons and Golden State Warriors have agreed to a three-team deal.

Via Wojnarowski's first tweet: "The Blazers are trading Gary Payton II to the Warriors for five second round picks, sources tell ESPN."

Via Wojnarowski's second tweet: "The Warriors are routing Kevin Knox to the Blazers via multi-team deal with the Pistons, sources tell ESPN."

Payton II was on the Warriors last season and helped them win the 2022 NBA Championship.

This year, he is averaging 4.1 points, 2.6 rebounds and 1.5 assists per contest (while shooting 58.5% from the field).

He is a solid defender who also proved (last season) that he was capable of being counted on in big moments.

The Warriors have had an up-and-down season, so getting him back on the roster is a significant addition.

They are the ninth seed in the Western Conference with a 28-27 record in 55 games.

However, the conference has been tight, so they are only 1.5 games out of the tie for the fourth seed.

As for the Trail Blazers, they are 27-28 in 55 games, which has them as the tenth seed in the west.

Last season, they missed the NBA Playoffs, but this season they should compete for a top-six seed.

Payton II is 30 years old and has also played for the Washington Wizards, Milwaukee Bucks and Los Angeles Lakers over seven seasons in the NBA.
