On Monday evening, the Boston Celtics hosted the New York Knicks in Massachusetts.

The Celtics won the game by a score of 114-98, and Jayson Tatum led the way with 35 points, six rebounds, seven assists and one steal while shooting 13/23 from the field and 5/12 from the three-point range. 

Jrue Holiday played 37 minutes and had 14 points, seven rebounds and two assists while shooting 5/9 from the field and 3/5 from the three-point range.

During the game, the All-Star guard made NBA history by becoming the 151st player to score 15,000 career points

Holiday is in his first season with the Celtics and is averaging 12.9 points, 7.3 rebounds, 5.5 assists and 1.0 blocks per contest while shooting 45.0% from the field and 36.4% from the three-point range. 

With the victory over the Knicks, the Celtics improved to 8-2 in their first ten games and are now in the middle of a three-game winning streak.  

They will play their next game on Wednesday evening when they visit Joel Embiid and the Philadelphia 76ers. 

Holiday is in his 15th season in the NBA and has also played for the Philadelphia 76ers, New Orleans Pelicans and Milwaukee Bucks. 

His career averages are 16.4 points, 4.1 rebounds, 6.5 assists and 1.5 steals per contest while shooting 46.2% from the field and 36.5% from the three-point range in 915 regular season games.  

He has also played in 70 NBA playoff games and helped the Bucks win the 2021 NBA Championship over the Phoenix Suns.
