Kamala Harris Tweets Photo With Jordan Poole Following Warriors-Wizards Trade

Vice President Kamala Harris sent out a tweet with a photo of her and Jordan Poole.

This week, the Golden State Warriors and Washington Wizards completed their trade that was headlined by 2022 NBA Champion Jordan Poole going to the Wizards and future Hall of Famer Chris Paul landing with the Warriors.

Poole was the 28th pick in the 2019 NBA Draft out of Michigan and had spent his entire four-year career with Golden State.

Following the trade, Vice President Kamala Harris tweeted a photo of her and Poole at the White House (from when the Warriors visited during the season).

Her tweet had over 19,000 likes and nearly two million impressions in less than eight hours.

Harris captioned the photo: "#DubNation will miss you, Jordan, but welcome to Washington, D.C."

Poole is coming off a solid regular season where he averaged 20.4 points, 2.7 rebounds and 4.5 assists per contest while shooting 43.0% from the field and 33.6% from the three-point range (he also played in every single game).

While the 24-year-old struggled in the NBA playoffs, he is still among the best young guards in the league.

His career averages are 15.8 points, 2.6 rebounds and 3.4 assists per contest while shooting 42.1% from the field in 266 regular season games (he has also appeared in 35 NBA playoff games).

This past year, the Wizards were the 12th seed in the Eastern Conference and had a 35-47 record (they have missed the NBA playoffs for two straight seasons).

They have traded away Kristaps Porzingis and Bradley Beal over the summer, so the roster will be much different next season.
