On Thursday, the Charlotte Hornets announced that they have signed LiAngelo Ball.

Ball is the older brother of LaMelo who was the third overall pick and 2021 Rookie of The Year for the Hornets last season.

However, Shams Chariana of The Athletic reports that the deal is a non-guaranteed contract and he Ball play for their G-League team.

This means that Ball will play for the Greensboro Swarm in the NBA's G-League. 

He played for the Hornets during Summer League in Las Vegas, Nevada, over the summer, and averaged 9.6 points per game. 

In the first game, he erupted scoring 16 points and shooting nearly 63% from the three-point range. 

While he did cool off in the games following; he still showed that he can compete with NBA level talent. 

LiAngelo is also the younger brother of Lonzo, who was the second overall pick by the Los Angeles Lakers in the 2017 NBA Draft, and now plays for the Chicago Bulls. 

He's also still just 22 years old.
