NFL Legend Rips Memphis Grizzlies' Ja Morant

NFL legend Shannon Sharpe spoke about Memphis Grizzlies' Ja Morant on FS1's Undisputed.

Ja Morant has been in the news over the last three weeks due to a video that went viral on social media where he was seen allegedly holding a gun.

The Memphis Grizzlies have already suspended their star point guard "from all team activities," and a suspension from the NBA appears to be on the horizon.

On Monday, Claudia Jordan of The Breakfast Club reported what she has been hearing via her sources about the situation.

Jordan on The Breakfast Club: "My sources say that the relative in the car in the backseat had a toy gun in the car. The gun is not real. And was playing around with it, passed it over to Ja and that got caught on the live."

During the regular season, Morant was suspended eight games by the NBA for a similar incident.

Following the latest report, NFL legend Shannon Sharpe spoke about Morant on Wednesday (via FS1's Undisputed).

Sharpe: "Here we are again. Ja Morant refuses to accept accountability and responsibility for his actions. Again, it's somebody else. Somebody from the backseat passed up a toy gun. What grown a** man, you know, play with toy guns and listen to NBA YoungBoy?"

The 23-year-old finished his fourth season in the NBA, averaging 26.2 points, 5.9 rebounds, 8.1 assists and 1.1 steals per contest in 61 regular season games.

He was the second pick in the 2019 NBA Draft out of Murray State and has led the Grizzlies to the Playoffs for three straight seasons.

This year, they were the second seed in the Western Conference with a 51-31 record and lost to the Los Angeles Lakers in the first round of the NBA Playoffs (in six games).
