Victor Wembanyama's Viral Instagram Post After Spurs-Lakers Game

Victor Wembanyama made a post to Instagram after Friday's game.

On Friday evening, the San Antonio Spurs played the Los Angeles Lakers in California.

The Spurs played well but lost by a score of 123-118.

LeBron James had a game-high 30 points and Anthony Davis put up 28 points and 13 rebounds. 

Despite the loss, star rookie Victor Wembanyama had 27 points, ten rebounds, eight assists, five steals and five blocks while shooting 7/16 from the field and 3/8 from the three-point range in 31 minutes of playing time.   

He faced off against four-time NBA Champion LeBron James for the second time, and after the game, Wembanyama made a post to Instagram with a photo of both of them.

There were over 539,000 likes in less than 12 hours.

James spoke highly of Wembanyama when Spectrum SportsNet interviewed him after the victory.

James: "I said it from the beginning, that he's special. He has an unbelievable coach that's gonna make sure that he does things the right way, play the game the right way and he's gonna continue to develop. He's already special, but he's gonna continue to get better and better and better each and every game, each and every year that he steps on this floor." 

Wembanyama is averaging 20.6 points, 10.1 rebounds, 3.3 assists, 1.3 steals and 3.3 blocks per contest while shooting 46.6% from the field and 31.8% from the three-point range in 51 games. 

The Spurs are the 15th seed in the Western Conference with an 11-46 record in 57 games. 

They will play their next game on Sunday when they visit the Utah Jazz.
