San Antonio Bracket 4: Speedy Thrills and Big Bucks Reign Supreme

San Antonio's Bracket 4 brought fast times and big paychecks to the cowboys and cowgirls. Check out the full bracket results.

Another three rounds have been completed in San Antonio, Texas, at the Frost Bank Center to finish Brackets 4 and 5. With just one more bracket to go, the competition has been fierce, and with good reason: there is a lot of money on the line.

No one was more excited to be in the winner's circle on Saturday night than Cooper James from Erda, Utah. The rookie bull rider was the only man to ride for the full 8 seconds.  

Frontier Rodeo's Bad John and James paired up to wow the crowd with an 82-point ride. James felt the high of winning by collecting the entire purse of $7,000 for just round three.

In total, he earned $8,833 during the three rounds, which was enough to make him the number one cowboy advancing to the semifinals. Along with James, Dustin Boquet, Maverick Smith, and Roscoe Jarboe will move on to the next round of competition.

The two other high-money winners for Bracket 4 came in the barrel race and the tie-down roping. The eight-time NFR qualifier from Granbury, Texas, Stevi Hillman, turned in three smoking runs aboard 70 Ranch's Sand in my Socks, "Sandie."  

Hillman won the first and second rounds with her sorrel mare equine partner and came back to pick up a third-place finish in the final third round. In total, Hillman earned $6,500 over three runs and will advance as number one.  

Joining Hillman in the semifinals will be none other than the great Kassie Mowry, Summer Kosel, and Haley Lide.

The tie-down ropers put on a show, as usual. Every single round of bracket four required the number one guy to be in the 7-second range. Laced with NFR qualifiers and world champions, the ropers had to be fast to get a piece of the purse.

Riley Webb came away with the biggest paycheck of $6,500 after winning second in the first and second rounds and then taking the victory in round three. Webb was the most consistent roper, tying his calves in 8.0 seconds, 7.7 seconds, and then a smooth 7.9.

The four cowboys to advance will be Webb, Tuf Cooper, Cash Hooper and Chance Thiessen.
